About GCS Energy Services Ltd.

GCS Energy Services Ltd. is proud to announce that we have expanded to include a fully functional Electrical division managed by individuals with over 30 years in the industry. This expansion will allow us to further service our clientele and their projects as a General Contractor.

Founded by owner Greg Schmidt in 1993, GCS Energy Services Ltd. (formerly Greg’s Contracting Services Ltd. 1993—2011), Greg’s ambition has put up the building blocks for the company’s success. GCS Energy Services Ltd. has been able to draw from a large workforce of employees who are hard working, dedicated, experienced and eager to return each year when the workload is there.

GCS’s quality work, safety culture and commitment along with Greg’s vision has opened many doors and built a solid reputation in all areas of construction. Over the past six years, GCS has experienced a time of rapid growth when many companies have experienced a decline. With projects ranging from Oilfield Construction, Customer Crushing, Electrical, Substation work and hydro projects; GCS has had the opportunity to substantially increase its fleet of Heavy Equipment, allowing us to have the capacity to conduct large projects for many clients across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

With a large fleet of equipment, four gravel pits, two crushers, an equipment rental division, civil division and electrical division, and a strong safety culture and program with plenty of projects ahead; GCS is proud to say that the opportunities made available by our past and existing clientele are the reason GCS is where we are today; a young, strong aggressive General Contractor willing to tackle a wide range of products anywhere in Western Canada.
